We're an energetic and passionate bunch here at iCity Media and we weren't happy simply making films and selling our production services. Instead, we wanted to spread our love for video by teaching others how to use it, and how to work the scary, techie stuff. Now, almost by accident, our services are in high demand.
We train journalists in the art of film making and editing, so that they can shoot videos for their own websites. Think about it - if you're a newspaper or magazine publisher, having a journalist on board who's an accomplished filmmaker is quite a rare commodity. They can add real value. Big publishing groups are begining to recognise that, that's why we're currently working with some of the biggest newspapers in the country, helping their journalists become great all round multi-skilled reporters.
We also visit forward thinking schools in the northwest and give their kids a proper hands-on, practical lesson on video making. They love it.
